First session went AMAZING — kids didn’t want to leave!
Ran my first Little Legends session at the library today. 8 kids, ages 5–7. The icebreaker worked perfectly and by the second round of practice games they were completely into it. One kid told his mom “this is the best day of my life.” I almost cried. The curriculum binder was so clear I barely had to prep.

This made my day! The library is such a perfect venue. Did you do the icebreaker from Session A or the modified one?

Tips for managing energy levels in the 6–8 bracket?
My Tactical Masters group is super competitive which is great, but by Day 3 the energy gets intense. Any tips for keeping things fun without dampening the competition?

Try the “coach’s timeout” technique from Module 5 — works like a charm. Give each team a 60-second debrief mid-session to reset the energy…

I swap the tournament format on Day 3 to a team relay — keeps the competitive energy but shifts the dynamic from individual to cooperative for a round.

New to CardSTEM — introducing myself!
Just completed my certification! I’m a 4th grade teacher and I can’t wait to start an afterschool program. Any advice for pitching it to my principal?

Welcome, Patricia! Lead with the standards alignment one-pager — principals respond immediately when they see the CCSS math codes. Then mention SEL. Works every time.

Also ask if they have unused Title I enrichment budget. Many districts do and don’t know what to spend it on. SCL is a perfect fit.

Sharing my modified Day 4 craft activity
I adapted the custom card design activity for K–2 and it worked beautifully. Instead of writing, the kids drew their creature and I wrote what they described. Uploading my template…

This is exactly what I needed for my library group! Downloading now. Thank you for sharing!

District just approved our school license!
Used the standards alignment one-pager in my proposal and the curriculum director was sold. We’re rolling out to 3 elementary schools this fall!

Would love to connect offline about your pitch process. DM me? I’m working on a district proposal in Austin and this is inspiring.
