K-2 Classroom

Start here with Little Legends

Use this page as the teacher launch sheet for the five-session K-2 classroom kit. One classroom kit is designed for up to 25 learners, with a default classroom build of 5 table groups of up to 5. The day plans and core printables arrive printed in your kit; this page shows what is included, what to prep, and how to run the sequence in order.

Unlock your kit Your kit includes a Start Here card with an access code. Unlock once at cardstem.academy/family-access and every link on this page opens.

Run the week

Run one day at a time. Each day's printables are linked in its row: open to preview or reprint a replacement. Put finished journal pages and artifacts in a class folder so Day 5 showcase setup is easy.

Facilitator references used across the week (all bound into the Facilitator Book): K-2 Teacher Run Guide, District Evidence Appendix, Setup Checklist, Readiness Checklist, Sportsmanship Rubric, K-2 Quick Check (optional pre/post), and the Gameplay Next Steps guide.

Do this first

  1. Open your coil-bound facilitator book and skim the overview, sequence, materials list, and success signals.
  2. Find the K-2 Teacher Run Guide first if you are preparing a teacher-facing classroom run; keep the District Evidence Appendix handy for a principal, curriculum manager, grant, or program review.
  3. Use the kit-contents list below to confirm your full 25-learner classroom quantities.
  4. Before Day 1, open all 25 booster packs, combine the cards, and sort them into 5 shared table pools (~40-60 cards each) plus a small spare pool.
  5. Run one day at a time using the table above. Put finished journal pages and artifacts in a class folder so Day 5 showcase setup is easy.
  6. Use the Gameplay Next Steps guide only as a light handoff or facilitator reference, not as the main lesson.
  7. Need more copies? Reprint any page from the kit index linked in the hero above.
School format note: use shared table tubs and classroom copies. Do not prepare one sealed pack per learner.

What success looks like

Calm material flow Students touch a small shared pool at a time, and finished work goes back into one folder or bin.
Observable math language Listen for same, different, more, fewer, equal, group, pattern, predict, and explain.
Evidence saved daily Keep one artifact from each day so Day 5 feels like a showcase, not a scramble.

Print-ready class sets

Collated, press-ready PDFs sized for one 25-learner classroom, the same files we send to the print vendor. Reprint any single piece from the kit index.
